It takes a village. I have found that having a community of support helps with everything from stress levels to accountability. No Man is an Island and it definitely Takes a Village. True healing continues for a life time. People change, circumstances change and in any one person’s life, needs will change accordingly. This is why in Primary Functional Medicine I have a community of healers that I consult with and work very closely with when it comes to Individualized/Personal Life style medicine.
Dr Mark Hyman, a force of nature and a crusader for the Institute for Functional Medicine. He is tireless in his work to further the cause of health and well being through eating well and lifestyle changes to attain physical health as well as the quest for spiritual well being. His published works are seemingly endless. Follow Dr Hyman on his weekly podcasts, “The Doctor’s Farmacy” – you will be inspired and up lifted – he has quite a gift for communication.
Phd Nutrition. Another force of nature in her own right. Highly intellegent and well published articles on nutrition, cell signaling and phytonutrients. Deanna holds her own podcasts interviewing amazing individuals who work in Functional Medicine. Follow her through Metagenics MAPS.
A living God in the Functional Medicine world and the force behind Personalized Lifestyle Medicine Institute. Dr Bland’s work on staying abreast of the cutting edge medical research is unparalleled. Many of us follow him closely to see what he is “un earthing” in his quest to change the paradigm of our current medical status quo. Dr Bland is one of the most celebrated founders of The Institute for Functional Medicine (although there are many greats in this field who go unmentioned) and I am extremely grateful for his brilliance, and his never tiring work to help us all become better practitioners. He is one of my personal heroes.

He and I work well as a team together to further people’s well being.
